About Us

Founding partner Don Freitas enjoys working with his friends at Viz Media, IDG, George P Johnson, Wells Fargo, Sun Microsystems, Comp USA, and many other clients small and large.  Before starting Lasting Impressions in 1992 with his friend and high-school classmate Gino Saccuman, Don  worked for six years with Quebecor Printing, servicing publications including Parade Magazine, USA Weekend, National Enquirer and Star Magazine.  After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Printing Management, Don spent two years teaching printing and prepress to inmates at Lompoc Federal Penitentiary. Outside of work, Don enjoys golf, travel, and hanging out with his kids.

Partner Gino Saccuman has been providing printing and corporate communications guidance to Lasting Impressions’ clients since its inception in 1992. Gino’s strong emphasis on customer service and expertise in direct mail has led publishing companies, including CMP Media and RISI, to use Lasting Impressions for the most cost-effective solutions for their marketing campaigns. Additionally, Gino has found a niche with technology startups in Silicon Valley— providing printed corporate collateral, packaging, and tradeshow graphics for companies like Azul Systems, Loudcloud, SGI, Google,  Opsware,  Inkra Networks, Vyatta, Kliosoft, and more.   In his spare time, Gino plays with his toddler son, reads non-fiction voraciously, and is a fan of baseball and auto racing.

Mike Rice’s experience spans thirteen years in digital imaging and offset printing. He began working in large format graphics in San Francisco, servicing the needs of retail clients (Gap, Levi-Strauss), Architectural Firms (Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, Gensler & Assoc), as well as pharmaceutical and bio-technology clients (Biogenex, Planet RX.com.)  His work here combines business development, project management, and  pre-press work flow skills to bring the highest levels of customer service and quality print production to our clients. Mike’s secret previous life was in the restaurant business, and he knows more about wine than the average print guy.
